CNN estimates that Zelensky thanked the United States at least 33 times

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly thanked the United States at least 33 times for its support in the war against Russian aggression. Such calculations made public CNN TV channel.

In its analysis, CNN provided a list of Zelensky’s posts on the X social network and his speeches in which he expressed gratitude. There were 33 cases, not including the statement the president made after leaving the White House on February 28. Also, the TV channel did not include in the calculation numerous mentions of thanks that Zelenskyy expressed in Ukrainian.

Examples include Zelensky’s address to the US Congress on December 21, 2022, in which he stated:

“I want to thank you, all of you. I thank every American family who cherishes the warmth of their home and wants the same warmth for other people. I thank President Biden and both parties, in the Senate and the House of Representatives, for your invaluable help.

I thank your cities and your citizens who supported Ukraine this year, who welcomed our Ukrainians, our people, who waved our national flags, who acted to help us. Thank you to everyone, from everyone who is now on the front line, from everyone who is waiting for victory.”

Zelensky repeatedly expressed gratitude to the United States during meetings with former President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, as well as in his speeches at various American institutions.

The TV channel conducted this study after US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance told Zelensky during a meeting in the Oval Office that, in their opinion, he was not grateful enough.
