Court fines director of Odesa dolphinarium for cooperation with Russians

The Primorsky Court of Odesa found the director of Odesa Dolphinarium “Nemo” Anatoliy Solontsov guilty of collaborative activity and imposed a fine of 170,000 hryvnias on him. About this it is said in the court verdict.

Solontsov manages “Nerum” LLC, which since 2015 has been the owner of “Nemo” dolphinariums. In 2014, this company became the founder of the Russian Nemo Dolphinarium.

The investigation established that in the period from February 2022 to January 2023, Solontsov conducted economic activities in cooperation with Russia. He cooperated with the occupation authorities created by Russia in Alushta and Feodosia.

At that time, the enterprises controlled by him in Crimea paid taxes to the Russian budget and provided Russian servicemen with discounts on dolphinarium services. In addition, Solontsov leased marine mammals to a Russian company, and later transferred them to Russia.

The court took into account the age of the accused, his presence of a disability of the 2nd group and his sincere remorse, as well as the fact that he actively contributed to the investigation and had no previous convictions.

Solontsov was found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he was sentenced to a fine of 170,000 hryvnias, as well as a ban on holding positions in state and local self-government bodies for 10 years, with confiscation of property.
