Debts to investors in green energy decreased by 37.7%

Over the past six months, SE “Guaranteed Buyer” reduced its debt to producers of electricity from renewable sources by 37.7% — from UAH 35.8 billion to UAH 22.3 billion. About this stated Acting Director of the company Artem Nekrasov.
According to him, the debt to solar, wind power plants and bioenergy enterprises, which has been accumulating for years, has decreased by 37.7% in the last six months. He also added that the level of settlements with producers of “green” energy increased from 86% to 93%. At the same time, the level of payment by Ukrenergo for the RES service improved from 72.9% in 2024 to 85.2% in 2025.
“We have positive developments. For the first time in my memory, a weighted transmission tariff was adopted for this year. In addition, we started to sign services with NEC “Ukrenergo” not after 1.5-2 years, as it was before, but, let’s say, January has already been signed and calculations have been made. Let’s hope that in the future we will calculate in a normal mode and actively move in this direction.” Nekrasov noted.
At the same time, Kateryna Danylkova, Deputy Director of Prospective Projects of SE “Guaranteed Buyer”, emphasized that the development of renewable energy is an indispensable path in the context of integration into the European market and environmental friendliness of electricity generation. According to her, “Harpok” pays considerable attention to green auctions, the nearest of which should start in early April.
Danylkova also noted that amendments to the legislation have already been prepared and are awaiting a vote in the Verkhovna Rada. They should improve the conditions for participation in auctions. In particular, it is assumed that in case of selling electricity at a higher price than stipulated, the seller will not have to return the funds received.
