During January, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 9 oil facilities in Russia

In January 2025, the Ukrainian military struck nine oil facilities on the territory of Russia. About this informs StratCom of the ZSU.

On January 16 and 21, the Defense Forces of Ukraine twice attacked the Liskinskaya oil depot in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation. On January 8, Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in Engels, and on January 18, two objects were hit at once – an oil depot in Ludonivo and the “8 March” facility in the Tula region.

On January 21, the Smolensk aircraft factory came under fire, and on January 24, an attack was made on the “Kremniy El” factory in the Bryansk region. On the same days, January 24 and 26, drones attacked the facilities of the Ryazan oil refining company. At the end of the month, on January 29 and 31, the Defense Forces struck a refinery in Kosovo and an oil depot in Volgograd, respectively.

“The defense forces are working! Without oil and oil money, it is more difficult for the enemy to maintain his army”, – noted in the Armed Forces.

At the same time, on the night of February 3, residents of Volgograd reported explosions near an oil refinery owned by Lukoil. In addition, drones attacked the gas processing plant in Astrakhan.

“The Astrakhan gas processing plant was attacked. It is one of the key energy facilities of the Russian Federation, which provides the processing of gas condensate and the production of gasoline, diesel fuel and more”, – reported Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for countering disinformation at the NSDC.
