During the day, 86 thousand people crossed the western border of Ukraine, 45 thousand of them left the country

During the last day, 86 thousand people crossed the western border of Ukraine. Of this number, 45,000 people left the country, which indicates a constant flow of citizens leaving for neighboring countries through the western borders. These data were published by the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine on their official Facebook page.
On October 6, not only people crossed the Ukrainian border in the western sections, but also a large number of vehicles – about 18,000 vehicles. This shows a significant level of mobility and activity among the population that continues to use these routes to travel abroad.
In particular, of the specified 45,000 people who left Ukraine, the largest share fell on the border with Poland, through which 23,000 people passed. Poland continues to be the main destination for Ukrainians leaving the country. The other 22,000 people chose other routes through the borders with Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova, which shows the geographical diversity of migration routes.
As for entry, 41,000 people returned to Ukraine over the past 24 hours, among whom the vast majority – 36,000 – are Ukrainians. It is interesting to note that most of these citizens were men, which may indicate certain migration trends related to war or economic circumstances.
In addition to passenger traffic, 56 trucks with humanitarian aid were also registered, which emphasizes the importance of the constant supply of critical resources and support to Ukraine from international partners. This is evidence of the continuous work of humanitarian organizations that help provide the Ukrainian population with the necessary goods and materials in wartime conditions.
