Ex-president of Motor Sich Boguslaev was returned from the hospital to a pre-trial detention center without proper medical care

Lawyer Rostyslav Kravets reported that Vyacheslav Boguslaev, the former president of the Motor Sich company and the general designer of helicopter equipment, was transferred from the hospital back to the pretrial detention center, despite the recommendations of the doctors. The lawyer stressed that 86-year-old Boguslaev, who experienced clinical death two weeks ago, needs urgent medical care.
“I was just in the pre-trial detention center with my client – an 86-year-old general designer of helicopter technology, who yesterday, in gross violation of human rights, in my opinion, was transferred from the hospital, where two weeks ago doctors saved his life after clinical death, back to the pre-trial detention center.
Despite his health condition and doctors’ prohibition, he was still transferred.
Now my colleague and I did not manage to get to him, because he became ill and an ambulance was called to the pre-trial detention center, which is now trying to save his life together with the pre-trial detention center staff.” — wrote Kravets in his Telegram channel.
According to the lawyer, on December 3, the Solomyan District Court of Kyiv refused to consider the defense’s request to transfer Boguslaev to another specialized hospital for continued treatment. Kravets called this decision a real threat to his client’s life.
The lawyer also reported that the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has sent a request to the Ukrainian government demanding an explanation for the long-term detention of Boguslaev without alternative for two years.
We will remind, Vyacheslav Boguslaev was detained in October 2022 on charges of treason. Another lawyer, Stepan Teslia, previously stated that Boguslaev’s arrest actually led to a redistribution of control over the strategic enterprise Motor Sich. According to him, the case has signs of raiding.
According to Tesla, the management of the corporation is now carried out by representatives of Zaporizhstal JSC, which was headed by Rostislav Shurma in the period from 2012 to 2019.
The lawyer also stated that the analysis of the case materials testifies to the systematic fabrication of evidence against Boguslaev. He added that the persecution is of a political nature and is aimed at removing the owner from the management of the company.
