Former head of the Brovary CCC uses property worth $1 million: “Investigations.Info” (video)
Yuriy Burlyai, the former head of the Brovarsky district territorial center of recruitment and social support, uses elite real estate in the suburbs of Kyiv, has an apartment in Vyshhorod, and repairs two apartments in Boryspil with the help of acquaintances. The total value of this property, along with the family’s vehicles, is estimated at nearly $1 million. About this it is said in the investigation of Slidstva.Info.
Burlyai himself, who recently received a promotion, claims that friends gave him the house for temporary residence, and he borrowed funds for repairs in Boryspil from acquaintances. From August 2022 to November 2024, he held the position of head of the Brovarsky TCC.
In March 2024, he began renting a house with an area of 320 square meters. m in a prestigious cottage town near the capital. As the representative of the developer reported, the cost of such a house without repairs is about 400 thousand dollars, and with decoration – approximately 720 thousand dollars. Burlyai himself stated that he rents the house for 18,000 hryvnias per month, because “comrade Pavlo Husak asked to take care of the house and live there for a symbolic fee.”
Journalists also found out that during his service at the Brovarsky TCC, his mother-in-law became the owner of two one-room apartments in a new building in Boryspil. According to the register of property rights, in January 2024, she paid 435,000 hryvnias for each. As of now, similar apartments are sold three times more expensive – for approximately 1.4 million hryvnias. These apartments are currently undergoing renovations, for which, according to Burlyai, he also borrowed money.
“I just borrowed money and now we are renovating it to rent it out. This fellow just gave it under the condition that it will be renovated, and after it is ready to rent, this rent will go to him.”, he explained in a comment to journalists.
In addition, in 2024, Burlya’s wife Svitlana and her children became the owners of an apartment in Vyshgorod, which Yuriy had previously declared as rented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs since 2015. The declaration also lists the family’s fleet of several vehicles, including a 2021 Volkswagen Touareg and a Honda NC750XD motorcycle purchased in 2024. The total cost of transport is 2.8 million hryvnias.
On January 3, 2025, Yuriy Burlyai was appointed head of the military leadership department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Before military service, Burlyai worked in the police and was arrested after a shooting incident in Knyazhychy in December 2016. He appears as an accused in the case, which is still being heard in the Brovary court.
