General Director of “Okhmatdyta” Volodymyr Zhovnir was removed from his duties: statement of the Ministry of Health
In order to provide an evaluation of the competitive proposals submitted to the tender, the working group of "Okhmatdyta" was involved.
The general director of the “Okhmatdyt” children’s hospital, Volodymyr Zhovnir, was temporarily suspended from his duties until the inspections are completed. About this reported Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko on his Facebook page.
“Volodymyr Zhovnir, the general director of the Okhmatdit National Police Service, is suspended from his duties until the completion of the inspections carried out by the National Police of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Health. Further decisions, including personnel decisions, will be announced later. My position is acting “one of the department heads should become one of the department heads who will receive the greatest support from colleagues”, – noted Lyashko.
He emphasized that the facts related to the restoration of the buildings of “Okhmatdyt” and the activities of the “Okhmatdyt – Healthy Childhood” Charitable Foundation, which were covered by the mass media, are now being investigated by the National Police of Ukraine at his request. In connection with this, a criminal proceeding was registered, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. NABU also conducts analytical work on this issue. In addition, on the initiative of Lyashko, the Ministry of Health launched an internal audit.
“All the circumstances must be clarified, all the guilty must be punished, and the hospital must be rebuilt. Everything must be done clearly, transparently, quickly and within the framework of the legislation.”, – emphasized the minister.
Lyashko also reported that he had received the first results of the inspection by the Ministry of Health commission, which revealed cases of distortion of key information by the management of the hospital and the Foundation, which was submitted to the Ministry of Health, in the media and in documents.
Two working bodies were involved in evaluating the bids submitted to the tender: the “Okhmatdyt” working group, approved by the order of the general director No. 142 of 07/18/2024, and the general meeting of the Fund.
