Germany will finance long-range systems for Ukraine

Germany will finance the purchase of long-range missiles for Ukraine, and the first deliveries are expected by the end of July 2025. About this stated Major General Christian Freuding, head of the Situation Center for Ukraine at the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany.

According to him, the situation in Ukraine is “definitely tense from a military point of view”.

“We need weapons systems capable of penetrating deep into Russian territory and attacking warehouses, command posts, airfields and aircraft. Germany is ready to provide such systems,” – he emphasized.

The general clarified that the first long-range weapons systems will be handed over at the end of July. It is about an agreement between the Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian industry, which was initiated and financed by Germany at the end of May.

Freuding noted that we are talking about “three-digit numbers”. According to him, these supplies will significantly strengthen Ukrainian air defense and increase the country’s defense capability in the near future.

“Today we had the opportunity to witness the signing ceremony of the agreement between Ukrainian industry and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, financed by Germany”, – added the general, who is currently in Kyiv.
