Government plans one-year moratorium on business inspections to support entrepreneurs: Svyrydenko

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is working on introducing an annual moratorium on business inspections. This is <a href=”https://www.facebook.com/yulia.svyrydenko/posts/pfbid02Us2yRdY2nH4P5NZBfLdGrbPr1yqH7G14WkzJQyv6nnkSqEL4QMLceRWNtNSnkgT3l”>reports</a> Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko. According to her, this will be one of the key steps to support entrepreneurs in the country.
<em>”As for the moratorium on inspections, we will make this decision, the moratorium on inspections by law enforcement agencies,” she said.
Svyridenko noted that control measures remain one of the main obstacles for Ukrainian business, so the government, in cooperation with the Prosecutor General’s Office, is preparing a mechanism for quality review of cases related to business activities.
<em>”It is very important for us that only with the sanctions of the prosecutor, possibly regional and district prosecutors, a case related to business activities should be opened,” the Prime Minister noted.
She explained that the opening of criminal proceedings leads to the actual blocking of the work of enterprises. To solve this issue, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko is preparing an appropriate package of measures.
<em>”At the same time, unscrupulous businesses will continue to be checked,” Svyridenko assured.
We will remind you that on June 27, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the government to develop a decision on a moratorium on inspections, stressing that this will help “protect business from any pressure, unscrupulous people in various positions.”
