Government updates rules for electronic recruitment to military units

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the procedure for implementing a pilot project on electronic recruitment of Ukrainian citizens. This was announced by the government’s permanent representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

According to the new rules, the military unit selected by the candidate must clarify his or her intentions to enter into a contract using the recruitment platform. This process includes an interview.

It is envisaged that the military unit chosen by the person, within one working day from the date of receipt of the application using the recruitment platform, clarifies the person’s intentions to conclude a contract for military service, in particular, by conducting an interview, and decides on the person’s admission to military service under the contract,’ Melnychuk said.

The military unit is obliged to notify the candidate of the decision on the same day using the recruitment platform.

In case of a positive decision, a contract for military service is concluded with the person at his/her request. In case of refusal, the candidate is informed of the reasons for this decision.
