In the biography published by the agency, it is noted that George graduated from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” with a degree in “Political Science”.
From 2008 to 2013, he worked as an editor and reporter in the programs of journalist Savik Shuster. Then he held the position of producer of the first German TV channel ARD in Ukraine. In 2018-2019, Tykhi was a correspondent of the National Information Agency “Ukrinform”.
George covered the events of the Revolution of Dignity and the beginning of Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine for German television. He also created a documentary film about Ukrainian volunteer heroes in besieged Ilovaisk.
Since 2019, Tykhi moved to state communications. From October 2019 to March 2020, he was the press secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. From March 2020 to July 2024, he held the position of communications adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
It will be recalled that the previous spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was Oleg Nikolenko, who on March 8 announced his decision to leave his post. On March 11, he announced that he had become the Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto, Canada.
