In Kharkiv, a cosmetologist carelessly caused the death of her patient by injecting an excessive amount of anesthetic. The police announced her as a suspect. About this reported in the police of the Kharkiv region.
The tragedy occurred on March 16, when the patient went to a cosmetology salon for a laser lipolysis procedure. This procedure involves local anesthesia and requires medical intervention.
According to the investigation, the cosmetologist did not take the necessary preliminary measures: she did not determine the patient’s body weight, did not calculate the dose of anesthetic, and did not conduct an allergy test. As a result, she administered about 20 injections in a short time, exceeding the recommended dose of the drug by at least 15 times.
The patient began to deteriorate on the spot, and despite the efforts of doctors, her life could not be saved – the woman died on the way to the hospital.
The 33-year-old cosmetologist is suspected of committing murder due to carelessness, and for this crime she faces up to 5 years in prison.
