In Poland, citizens will be given instructions in case of war

In the fall, a “Safety Guide” will be distributed to Polish residents, which will contain instructions in the event of a military conflict or other threats. About this reported Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland Cezary Tomczyk, informs Polsat News.

According to him, Poland follows the example of Sweden and Finland, because the population does not have enough knowledge about behavior in critical situations. The manual will cover not only military hazards, but also civilian threats, including natural disasters such as floods.

Tomczyk noted that Polish society has “lost the ability to recognize” when a siren’s wail is a warning of danger, a lesson or simply a commemoration. The guide will be sent directly to citizens’ mailboxes, and it will also be available in electronic form. The dissemination campaign will be announced through mass media.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense and the Center for State Security have been working on the preparation of this document. In particular, the brochure will provide guidance on how to act and survive the first 72 hours of a crisis. On April 28, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland, Tomasz Semoniak, stated that the “Security Manual” is ready and will soon be submitted for public discussion.
