The Institute for the Investigation of the Crimes of Communism and the Memory of the Romanian Exile (IICCMER) filed a lawsuit against Apollo Cheia, which sold soap with the image of former dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, accusing it of “propagandizing the cult of persons guilty of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes”. IICCMER employees noted that the company produces soap with the image of Nicolae Ceausescu. This product is sold under the name “Tribute to Ceausescu”.
The text accompanying the product states:

The Institute recalled that Ceausescu was responsible for mass repressions and genocide, which was legally confirmed by the decision of the Bucharest Military Tribunal on December 25, 1989.
“We must remember our past and not allow the glorification of characters who entered the history of Romania through barbarism and persecution.” – said the head of the institute, Florin-Daniel Shandru.
In turn, Apollo Cheia representative Delia Laszlo said:
