In September, the Russians carried out the most air strikes on Kharkiv: Terekhov

Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov voiced alarming statistics for September, emphasizing that the situation in the city remains critical and tense due to constant enemy shelling. He noted that last month, Kharkiv experienced a record number of airstrikes since the beginning of 2023, which makes September one of the most difficult periods for the city.

In total, 53 enemy attacks were recorded during the month, which means that almost every day, Kharkiv was shelled twice a day. Such intensity of attacks significantly affected the life of the city and the safety of its residents. Residents were forced to constantly seek shelter, because shelling was unpredictable and covered different districts of Kharkiv.

The most terrible thing, according to Terekhov, is the number of victims. During the month, 188 people were injured by shelling, including 19 children. These figures show that, despite all the efforts of the authorities and defenders, the danger to the civilian population remains extremely high.

Terekhov emphasized that the city authorities are making every effort to help everyone who has suffered or needs support.

“We will not leave anyone alone with the trouble and will do everything so that everyone who needs help receives it, while the Defense Forces of Ukraine win us peace!”, – he noted.

The mayor also expressed his gratitude to the defenders who repel enemy attacks every day, and assured that Kharkiv will persevere despite all difficulties and challenges.
