In the first 5 months of 2025, the gambling business paid 9 billion hryvnia in taxes

In the first five months of 2025, the gaming industry paid 9 billion hryvnias in taxes to the budget, which is 22% more than in the same period last year. About this reported Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.

In January-May 2025, the gaming business transferred 8,970.7 million hryvnias of tax revenue to the state budget. For comparison, in the same period of 2024, the receipts amounted to 7,335.9 million, and in 2021 – only 71.6 million hryvnias.

The main sources of tax revenues in 2025 were income tax — 5,965.5 million hryvnias, personal income tax on winnings — 2,154.3 million, military levy — 652.7 million, personal income tax on employee salaries — 102.7 million, and value added tax — 94.7 million hryvnias.

According to fiscalization data, the volume of sales in the gambling business continues to grow. In May 2025, the procurement through the PRO and PRRO amounted to 4.867 billion hryvnias, which is 1.7% more than in December 2024, when mandatory fiscalization in this area was introduced. Taxpayers point out that the legalization of the market is already having a positive effect — the transparent work of companies allows for stable filling of the state budget.

We will remind you that in December 2024, mandatory fiscalization of all operations in the gambling business was introduced in Ukraine. This decision was made with the aim of detinizing the market and ensuring control over the circulation of funds.
