In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, the Russian Federation imposed fines for disseminating information about refusing to have children

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, the Russian authorities introduced fines for the dissemination of information related to the refusal to give birth to children. This information was made public by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Artem Lysogor, in his Telegram channels.
As Lysohor noted, a similar law has been in effect in the Russian Federation since December 3. According to its provisions, citizens who violate this ban may receive a fine in the amount of 50 to 400 thousand rubles. Fines from 100,000 to 800,000 rubles are provided for officials, and legal entities face fines in the amount of 800,000 to 5,000,000 rubles.
The prohibition applies to any information that is distributed through the Internet, mass media, cinema or advertising. According to Lysohor, this means that any user of social networks, whose publications do not meet the requirements of the authorities, can become an object of persecution. In this way, the Russian authorities are trying to solve their own demographic problems, forcing citizens to adhere to the traditional family model and give birth to children.
On November 12, the State Duma of the Russian Federation passed a law prohibiting “childfree propaganda” in mass media, the Internet, advertising and cinema. The law received the unanimous support of deputies – all 403 parliamentarians present at the meeting voted “for”.
The term childfree describes the conscious decision of people not to have children. Unlike those who cannot have children due to medical or other objective circumstances, representatives of this ideology choose life without children of their own free will. Childfree is not considered a negative phenomenon, as it is a matter of personal choice and freedom of each person.
