In Ukraine, medical school graduates were first distributed through an electronic system

In Ukraine ended the first stage of rating distribution of graduates of medical universities before internship. This year, for the first time, an electronic rating distribution system was used, which automatically calculated the competitive score and formed the rating without external intervention.

The Electronic Distribution System (ESRD) processed 13,550 applications from 2,738 graduates, of which 2,640 received selected budget places, which is 96.4% of the total number. Another 98 people (3.6%) will join the second stage, which will take place on July 7.

According to the results of the first stage, the most graduates chose internships by specialty: internal medicine — 439 people, surgery — 340, anesthesiology and intensive care — 275, general practice-family medicine — 227, neurology — 174.

All those who received a referral must submit documents to the health care institution by July 20, and to the institution of higher education by August 20. The practical part of training in the internship starts on August 1, the theoretical part – on September 1.

The system was developed with the participation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on the Diya.Engine Platform, with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, which is implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation.
