Indian components found in Russian “shaheeds”

Ukraine has formally appealed to the governments of India and the European Union over electronic components manufactured or assembled by Indian companies that were found in Russian Shahed drones. About this informs The Hindustan Times.
The Ukrainian side repeatedly raised this issue diplomatically, in particular, sent official requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India after discovering such details in the Shahed-136 drones. In addition, this issue was discussed during the July visit to New Delhi by the representative of the EU on sanctions, David O’Sullivan.
According to the results of the investigation conducted by Ukraine, components related to the Indian companies Vishay Intertechnology and Aura Semiconductor were found in the drones. In particular, the E300359 diode bridge, assembled in India by Vishay, is used in the drone’s voltage stabilization module, and the AU5426A chip from Aura Semiconductor is used in the EW-resistant antenna.
Formally, the companies did not violate the current laws of India. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that exports of dual-use items are carried out in accordance with India’s international non-proliferation obligations and its domestic export control regulations. Although the Ukrainian embassy in India did not officially comment on the situation, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on its official social networks about the discovery of Indian components in Shahed drones.
