Holidays and commemorative dates:
International Day of Children Victims of Aggression – celebrated on the initiative of the UN since 1983. The date was set on the anniversary of the first Israeli air raid on Beirut and other Lebanese towns on June 4, 1982, which killed a large number of civilians, including children.
Day of commemoration of the children who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine – celebrated annually from 2021. The date is set by Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine No. 5343 of June 1, 2021. Since February 24, 2022, 548 children have died as a result of hostilities in Ukraine, and more than 1,351 have been injured of various degrees of severity.
International caries day – celebrated since 2013 to draw attention to oral health problems. According to WHO data, caries occurs in 60-90% of school-age children and almost 100% of adults.
Day of water workers of Ukraine – is celebrated annually in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 226/03 dated March 18, 2003.
Day of Workers of Local Industry of Ukraine – is celebrated annually in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 726/02 dated August 20, 2002.
