Kellogg says Ukraine and Russia are on the verge of a complete ceasefire

Ukraine and Russia are on the verge of a complete ceasefire, for which it is necessary to agree on the conditions of both sides. This was stated by the special envoy of the US President in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, informs Fox Business.
“We want to achieve a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire. Once you achieve that, it will be very difficult to resume the war. That’s what I believe.”, Kellogg said.
He emphasized the need to form contractual documents that reflect the positions of Ukraine and Russia, after which these conditions will need to be combined. Kellogg noted that US President Donald Trump maintains contacts with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, and is able to reach an agreement between the parties.
“And I do believe that we are on the verge of a ceasefire, but both sides will have to compromise. Neither side will get everything they want. There will have to be some concessions to come to a solution. But President Trump can do that.”, he added.
We will remind that at the moment the main obstacle to concluding a 30-day truce remains Moscow’s position. Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the initiative, began to put forward a number of demands related to the supply of weapons to Ukraine, mobilization processes and other issues. Instead, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, agreed to a complete ceasefire without additional conditions.
