Klitschko’s ex-deputy was informed of suspicion for aiding military service evasion (video)

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office together with the State Bureau of Investigation reported on the suspicion of aiding the evasion of military service to the former deputy mayor – secretary of the Kyiv City Council, current deputy of the Kyiv Council of the IX convocation. His actions are qualified under Art. 2 Art. 367, ch. 5th century 27, ch. 4 Art. 409 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation established that in 2022-2023 the official, having violated the requirements of Art. 119 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, unjustifiably charged and paid wages to an employee of the Kyiv City Council. As a result, the state, represented by the Kyiv City Council, suffered losses in the amount of almost 700,000 hryvnias.
The person who received the specified payments was in military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine from July 2022 and received the appropriate financial support. Despite this, she continued to receive a salary in the Kyiv City Council until March 2023.
In addition, at the initiative of the suspect, a letter was sent to the Kyiv city military-civilian administration with a request to second a mobilized employee to work in the Kyiv city council. As a result, the specified employee actually avoided performing military duties: he did not arrive at the military unit and did not perform tasks related to the defense of the country. Currently, the indictment against him is under consideration by the court.
The pre-trial investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office and is carried out by the SBI investigators in the city of Kyiv.
