The court confiscated the property of the head of one of the departments of the National Police

The higher anti-corruption court decided to confiscate half of an apartment in Kyiv worth 1.8 million hryvnias from the head of one of the departments of the Department for Combating Narcotic Crime of the National Police of Ukraine. About this reported VAX press office.
“On March 6, the panel of judges of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the civil lawsuit of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office against the head of one of the management departments of the Department for Combating Narcotic Crime of the National Police of Ukraine and his wife regarding the recognition of assets as unfounded and their collection into state income.” – says the message.
VAKS found it unfounded and decided to charge the property belonging to the official to the state income. It is about ½ part of an apartment in Kyiv, the value of which is estimated at 1,803,150 hryvnias.
The official assured that before buying the apartment, he and his wife received 1.8 million hryvnias and 50 thousand dollars (1.4 million hryvnias) from their parents. However, NAZK found out that their incomes and savings did not allow them to make such gifts to children.
The decision may be appealed to the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court within thirty days from the moment of its announcement.
