Videos from the scene of the events are actively spreading on social networks. Demonstrators held placards criticizing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has cut public spending, leading to mass layoffs among civil servants, including air traffic controllers and national park workers.

Protesters also expressed concern that DOGE includes a group of young engineers linked to Musk’s companies. They have access to classified information of public concern.
In addition, the actions mentioned Musk’s gesture made during Trump’s inauguration, which many perceived as a Nazi salute. The billionaire himself has repeatedly denied this statement, calling such interpretations erroneous.
