Maxar has disabled Ukraine’s access to its satellite imagery

American aerospace company Maxar Technologies turned off access of Ukrainian users to their satellite images.

An official statement from the Maxar administration stated that access was restricted “by administrative request.” However, experts are sure that this decision is a consequence of the US government’s ban on providing intelligence data to Ukraine.

Maxar Technologies is one of the key suppliers of commercial satellite imagery for Ukraine. They were used to monitor the movement of Russian troops, as well as to record the consequences of strikes on strategic objects in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia.

In addition, the company’s satellite images were repeatedly used by the world media to analyze and visualize the course of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.

It will be recalled that on March 5, CIA director John Ratcliffe officially announced the temporary suspension of arms and intelligence data to Ukraine.
