Men in Ukraine are looking for pregnant women who will agree to register them as the parents of a newborn child. They are doing this is in order to avoid mobilization and get a legal opportunity to go abroad. Men are ready to pay from 1 to 2 thousand dollars for such a “service”.
“I am looking for a single pregnant girl, a woman who will register the child under my name. I guarantee first aid, and then alimony.” — such an announcement appeared on one of the Internet resources.
Men often point out to pregnant women that they are draft dodgers and seek to take advantage of the grace period granted to men with three children to leave the country. Lawyers also confirm the growth of requests for such services among clients.
Lawyer Roman Simutin, who specializes in mobilization issues, emphasizes that such agreements have signs of illegality. According to him, both parties risk facing criminal responsibility, as such a scheme can be qualified as an attempt to evade mobilization.
“Here you can see the signs of an attempt to evade mobilization. But if neither side will talk about it, then proving it is an extremely difficult matter“, Smutin noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that it may be difficult to prove the fact of such an agreement if the parties do not disclose the details of the agreement.
“But there is another important nuance. You can prove or disprove paternity with the help of a DNA examination. It is impossible to take a DNA sample from a person without his consent in such cases.” – explained the lawyer.
