Electricity tariffs to rise in Ukraine: who will be affected by the increase
On October 1, the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) began the procedure for revising the limit prices for electricity for the day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets. These changes apply only to enterprises.
As reported press office NKREKP, this decision will not affect the fixed prices for the population, which remain unchanged.
According to the regulator, the procedure involves holding open discussions, where all electricity market participants will have the opportunity to express their suggestions and comments. The revision of prices on the electricity market is due to the need to create conditions for the commercial import of electricity from European countries to cover a possible power deficit in the autumn-winter period during possible attacks on the power system.
