Mobilized sole proprietors owe almost UAH 30 million in taxes

More than 3,000 mobilized entrepreneurs have a total debt to the tax service of almost 30 million hryvnias. The law provides for the possibility of exempting such persons from paying taxes if they submit a corresponding application at the place of tax registration within 10 days after demobilization. However, compliance with this deadline in the conditions of service is a difficult task, informs Head of DPS Ruslan Kravchenko.

The problem is that entrepreneurs of the 1st and 2nd groups must pay a single tax and a military levy in advance every month. In order to avoid automatic assessment, they must submit a statement on the impossibility of fulfilling tax obligations in time. However, during mobilization, the opportunity to do this in time is not available in most cases.

In order to solve this issue, the DPS is preparing legislative initiatives to extend the deadlines for submitting such applications. Also, the service initiates the signing of a protocol with the Ministry of Defense for prompt obtaining of information about mobilized FOPs. Special working groups and hotlines will be created in the regions, which will provide consultations to mobilized entrepreneurs and their family members.

“The Tax Service will also conduct an inventory of complaints and letters of FOPs regarding the write-off of accrued tax liabilities from the date of their mobilization and analyze the results of their consideration in the regions. We are working to ensure that issues related to the tax liabilities of mobilized FOPs and veterans are settled fairly and without bureaucracy.” – emphasized in the department.

We will remind that on December 16, at the “UAFIN.TECH 2024: Future with AI” conference, the head of the Association of Entrepreneurs-Veterans of the ATO, Serhii Pozniak, noted that Ukrainian business today is actually in the trenches, because 13% of the military are entrepreneurs, and the number of future veterans among them will reach 600,000.
