NABU launched an investigation into the enrichment of MP Tyshchenko and seized his property

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is investigating the alleged illegal enrichment of People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko in the amount of more than 30 million hryvnias, as well as the false declaration of assets. About this informs “Word and deed”. Part of the assets, according to the investigation, was registered to Serhii Vakalchuk, the former director of the company that owns the restaurant “Velyur”.
NABU established that Vakalchuk owns a number of objects: an apartment with an area of about 100 square meters. m in Kyiv on the street Pavla Skoropadskyi, 43, two plots of land and a residential building with an area of 322 square meters. m in Kozyna near Kyiv, as well as a 2016 Mercedes-Benz V250 worth 1.62 million hryvnias.
According to the investigation, Vakalchuk’s property is valued at more than 9 million hryvnias, although its market value is much higher. At the same time, the analysis of Vakalchuk’s income shows that he could not legally obtain such property. The detectives recorded that these assets were used by Tyshchenko himself and his wife.
During searches of Tyshchenko and his wife in the case of the beating of a military man in Dnipro, SBI investigators seized mobile phones (some of which Tyshchenko damaged), 491,550 US dollars, 390,100 euros and an Audemars Piguet wristwatch. NABU requested the seizure of this property, as it is the evidence base in the case.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and all the mentioned assets have been seized in accordance with the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
