NACP caught the head of the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on fraud

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) found signs of illegal enrichment in the amount of almost 20 million hryvnias from the head of one of the territorial service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For information the press service of the NAZK, in the period from 2021 to 2023, the official bought vehicles at discounted prices, and then sold them at a much higher price, making a significant profit. His close relatives also participated in the scheme.

Additionally, in cooperation with the Asset Management and Investigation Agency (ARMA), it was established that in March 2022, during the full-scale invasion of Russia, the official purchased five apartments in the Georgian resort cities of Batumi and Bakuriani. The area of ​​these real estate objects ranges from 37 to 87 square meters. m, and the cost — from 30 to 82 thousand US dollars. The total amount of these acquisitions exceeds 7.19 million hryvnias.

NAZK estimated that the expenses of the official and his family for the purchase of movable and immovable property amount to almost 20 million hryvnias. At the same time, it was found that the official had no legal income that could cover these expenses.

Materials related to the head of the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been transferred to the Office of the Prosecutor General for further inclusion in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations on the Fact of Illegal Enrichment.
