Naftogaz agreed to supply 100 million cubic meters of gas from Poland

Naftogaz of Ukraine and the Polish energy company ORLEN signed a memorandum of strategic partnership in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply. About this reported press service of Naftogaz.
As part of the agreement, the parties concluded a contract for the supply of about 100 million cubic meters of gas.
“Ukraine has a powerful gas transportation system and the largest underground gas storages in Europe, which creates unique conditions for the development of the LNG market. Cooperation with ORLEN will allow us to strengthen energy security, expand sources of supply and integrate into the European market.” Roman Chumak, head of the Naftogaz Group, said.
ORLEN Vice President Robert Soshynskyi emphasized that this partnership will be mutually beneficial and will contribute to the strengthening of Ukraine’s energy independence.
We will remind that on March 7, Russian troops attacked the facilities of the Naftogaz Group. As a result of the impact, production facilities that ensure gas production were damaged.
