During the operation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region, the Russian troops found themselves in difficult and unusual conditions for them. About this told Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.
“They (Russians) felt what we feel. That is, they were forced to defend their own territory, and in those conditions that were not comfortable for them.” – he emphasized.
Syrskyi also noted that the losses of the Ukrainian side were twice as small compared to the losses of the defending Russian forces.
“Here, during offensive operations, our losses were actually half as much as those who were defending”, – said the head.
During the operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a counterattack in the Kursk region, in particular, on the southern outskirts of the village of Dar’ino. Tanks and other units of at least three Ukrainian military units participated in the offensive. Russian troops are trying to dislodge the Ukrainian military from the Kursk region, but their attacks only lead to significant losses of the enemy.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, emphasized that Moscow is trying to speed up the ouster of Ukrainian forces from Kursk Oblast. According to him, Vladimir Putin aims to complete this operation before the inauguration of Donald Trump in the White House.
