Olena Zelenska urged Ukrainians to take care of their mental health

The wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, appealed to Ukrainians to take care of their mental health. In his messages in Telegram dedicated to the International Day of Mental Health, the first lady also shared a video in which, together with famous Ukrainian artists and public figures, she emphasized the importance of caring for mental well-being.
Such stars as musician Dmytro Monatik, singer Roksolana Syrota, presenter Kateryna Osadcha, musician Vyacheslav Drofa and public figure Oleksandr Teren joined this initiative. Together with Zelenska, they urged Ukrainians to make taking care of their mental health a habit, and “fostering resilience” a daily practice and lifestyle.
In addition, military personnel who suffered severe injuries during hostilities also joined the appeal. In particular, junior sergeant Denys Kryvenko, who lost both legs and an arm during the battles near Bakhmut, sapper Vladyslav Yeschenko, who lost his sight during demining, and Zakhar Biryukov, a soldier who lost limbs and an eyeball. Among others, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine Khrystyna Boichuk and Vitaly Lytvyn joined the appeal.
Olena Zelenska emphasized that for Ukrainians the word “sustainability” means more than just endurance. It requires action, care for self and others, even in the face of constant uncertainty and pain. The first lady emphasized that the personal stability of every Ukrainian is the basis for the stability of the entire country.
We will remind that the World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on October 10 since 1992 on the initiative of the World Federation of Mental Health and with the support of the World Health Organization.
