OpenAI has launched a neural network to generate video from text

OpenAI presented a new neural network, Sora, capable of converting text into videos of up to 20 seconds using artificial intelligence technologies. The tool was first demonstrated in February, and now the company has officially announced its launch. About this informs OpenAI press office.

Sora allows you to create videos based on text requests, offering a number of new options. Among them is the Storyboard function, which allows you to combine multiple clips into a single video using an interactive timeline, similar to professional editors such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Another feature, Creative Feed, allows users to post their videos, view the work of others, adapt others’ requests to their needs and improve them.

The neural network also provides the ability to change the style of videos using the Remix tool and choose ready-made templates. Users can crop, repeat clips, and create videos in vertical, horizontal, or square formats.

Sora is accessible to paid OpenAI subscription users. The $20/month ChatGPT Plus subscription allows you to create up to 50 videos of up to 5 seconds in 720p resolution. The $200/month ChatGPT Pro subscription allows you to generate longer videos up to 20 seconds in 1080p resolution, creating up to 500 videos per month and generating multiple variations per request.
