Orban expresses fear of Zelensky’s Victory Plan and calls for talks with Russia

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán issued a sharp criticism of Ukraine’s victory plan, saying that it “scares” him. In his posts on Facebook, Orban called on the leaders of the European Union – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron – to start negotiations with Russia as soon as possible to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
“President Zelensky presents his victory plan. What was presented in the Ukrainian parliament yesterday is more than frighteningOrban said.
He also noted that he calls on the European Union to change its current approach. According to Orbán, the EU got involved in this conflict, guided by a “poorly organized and unsuccessfully implemented strategy based on incorrect calculations”, the responsibility for which, in his opinion, falls primarily on the president of the European Commission.
According to Orban, “this strategy is not working”, and the European Union must move from a strategy of war to a strategy of peace. He insisted on the need for an immediate ceasefire and the start of peace talks.
“We are losing this war! The only way out is to cease fire and start peace talks. Therefore, today I call on Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron, on behalf of the entire European Union, to start negotiations with Russia as soon as possible to find a way out of this crisis.”Viktor Orban emphasized.
