Parliament created a Temporary Investigative Commission to investigate corruption in law enforcement agencies and courts

The Verkhovna Rada passed a decision on the creation of a Temporary Investigative Commission to investigate the facts of possible corruption in law enforcement and judicial bodies. The initiative was supported by 257 people’s deputies, informs People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the “Golos” faction.

The commission will focus on collecting, analyzing and verifying information regarding possible corruption abuses in the activities of the prosecutor’s office, the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Bureau of Investigation, the National Bureau of Investigation, other law enforcement structures, as well as courts of all instances. People’s deputy Serhiy Vlasenko (Batkivshchyna faction) was elected as the head of the commission, and Maksym Buzhansky from “Servant of the People” became his deputy.

The TSK included 11 more people’s deputies representing various factions and deputy groups: from “Servants of the People” – Oleksandr Tkachenko, Galina Tretyakova, Maksym Pavlyuk, Valeriya Bozhik and Pavel Frolov; from “European Solidarity” – Maksym Savrasov; from “Golos” – Oleksandr Ustinov; from “Trust” – Pavel Bakunets; from “For the future” – Iryna Konstankevich; from “Platform for Life and Peace” – Hryhoriy Mamka; from “Recovery of Ukraine” – Valery Hnatenko.

We will remind, on June 17, the parliament voted for the appointment of a new prosecutor general. The position was taken by the current head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, who was supported by the majority of people’s deputies.
