Passport issuance in Ukraine has become more expensive: new prices published

From October 7, the cost of service packages for passport and migration services provided by SE “Dokument” will change on the territory of Ukraine. About this reported Citizen Service Center “Passport Service”, noting that the new tariffs will apply to all categories of citizens.
The tariff for the “Standard” service package will be adjusted, although the exact figures have not yet been announced. Cost increases are expected to reflect current economic realities and the costs of providing passport and migration services.
In parallel with these changes, “Ukrposhta” together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation, which provides for the launch of an updated document delivery service around the world. First of all, this concerns foreign passports that Ukrainian citizens have ordered for reissuance.
In May of this year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved draft law No. 11017, which simplified the simultaneous issuance of an internal Ukrainian passport (ID card) and a foreign passport, even in cases of lost or stolen documents. 236 People’s Deputies voted for the bill. These changes also allow citizens to issue documents through Dokument SE, even if they are outside Ukraine.
Earlier, on April 23, the issuance of Ukrainian documents abroad was temporarily suspended due to technical reasons, although it later became known that this was the result of the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At that time, passports were only allowed for children under 12 years of age. At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution prohibiting men aged 18 to 60 from obtaining foreign passports or internal passports outside of Ukraine.
However, already on May 4, State Enterprise “Dokument” announced the resumption of issuing ready-made passports in a test mode. Special attention was paid to socially vulnerable categories of citizens. Ready documents began to be issued after receiving an SMS message about their readiness again.
