Payments of compensation for destroyed housing resume in Ukraine

Ukraine received 30 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) to continue the compensation program for damaged and destroyed housing. These funds will be used to finance more than 800 housing certificates. About this reported Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories.

This tranche became the second within the credit agreement in the amount of 100 million euros signed between Ukraine and the Development Bank of the Council of Europe in June of this year during the Ukraine Recovery Conference. The first tranche of EUR 70 million has already been successfully distributed, which made it possible to obtain further financing in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

“Ukraine received the second tranche in the amount of 30 million euros, which is aimed at paying for more than 800 housing certificates. The Development Bank of the Council of Europe, based on the results of the distribution of the first tranche in the amount of 70 million euros, allocated the following financing in accordance with the terms of the agreement.” — said Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba.

Priority in the compensation program is given to combatants, defenders returning from the front, people with disabilities and large families who especially need support to restore housing conditions.

“The funds have already been credited to the current account of Ukrposhta. Currently, owners of housing certificates receive a notification in the Diya application or in their personal account on the Diya portal about the reservation of funds. Then they choose housing and contact a notary to draw up a sales contract within 30 days”, Deputy Minister Nataliya Kozlovska said.
