Poland has provided Ukraine with another 5 thousand Starlink terminals

Ukraine received another 5,000 Starlink terminals from Poland, which should ensure stable communication in medical institutions, educational institutions and critical infrastructure facilities. About this reported Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Terminals will provide uninterrupted communication in places where it is most needed – hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure facilities. “Starlinks” will help residents of the frontline areas to stay in touch: call relatives, call emergency services, read the news.”, says the message.

The minister recalled that due to enemy shelling and destroyed base stations in the newly de-occupied territories, traditional communication is often unavailable. According to Fedorov, as a result of the cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Affairs with international partners and donors, Ukraine has already received more than 50,000 Starlink terminals, of which the largest part – 29,500 units – was provided by Poland.

We will remind that on February 22, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Hawkowski said that Warsaw will continue to finance satellite internet for Ukraine:

Poland bought Starlink, which it handed over to Ukraine. We pay and will pay subscription fees for satellite Internet for Ukraine. I cannot imagine that anyone could decide to terminate a business contract for a commercial service to which Poland is a party.”
