Poland proposes to ban the entry of the Ukrainian military after the end of the war

Witold Tumanowych, a member of the Polish Diet from the far-right Confederacy party, proposed banning the entry of Ukrainian military personnel after the end of the war. About this informs Polsat News.

According to Tumanovich, Poland should resolve two key issues related to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The first is ensuring that the Polish military does not participate in hostilities in Ukraine. The second is the introduction of an entry ban for Ukrainian military personnel after the end of the war.

The deputy stated that the Ukrainian military could pose a potential threat if they are allowed to enter Poland after demobilization. He justified his position by the fact that former soldiers, according to him, allegedly “tend to participate in organized crime.”

“We understand very well what can happen to military personnel who return to civilian life after the end of hostilities. Unfortunately, there is a risk that such people can organize criminal groups. Poland should not allow them to enter its territory.” he emphasized.

The statement caused a wave of discussions in Polish society, because the issue of the integration of the Ukrainian military after the war remains relevant, given the significant number of Ukrainian refugees in Poland and the traditionally friendly relations between the countries.
