Presidential elections in the United States: Trump does not rule out the possibility of his defeat

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has suggested that he could lose the election, although he believes he is ahead of his opponent in all seven swing states. In an interview with ABC News, he said that ‘anything can happen’ and that there is a possibility of losing.

I mean, it happens, right? But I think I have a pretty significant advantage, but you can say that yes, you can lose. Bad things can happen. You know, things happen, but it will be interesting,’ Trump commented.

He also added that he hopes to announce the winner on election night, without lengthy recounts.

Asked when he would address the nation about the results, Trump said he would be there ‘at the right time’.

No one has ever done what I’ve done, and that’s big rallies and huge enthusiasm,’ he said.

The first polling station in the small American town of Dixville Notch has already closed, with six voters casting an equal number of votes for Harris and Trump. So far, the candidates have almost equal support in key states, making it difficult to predict the outcome.

According to the ABC News forecast based on the Project 538 model, which takes into account sociological, economic and demographic indicators, Donald Trump has a 53% chance of winning, while Kamala Harris has 47% support.
