Project to protect the rights of designers and illustrators launched in Ukraine

The Design for Ukraine association, in cooperation with the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (IP Office), launched a new project called “Agreement”. This initiative includes sample employment contracts for designers and illustrators, as well as detailed instructions on how to use them correctly. About this informs Chitomo edition.
The “Agreement” project is the first systematized approach to the conclusion of labor contracts in the field of creative industries in Ukraine, where controversial points regarding intellectual property rights often arise. Sample contracts take into account key aspects such as remuneration, number of edits allowed, distribution methods and intellectual property rights.
The main goal of the project is to provide legal protection for designers and illustrators, as well as to simplify legal procedures for them. “Uzgoda” offers unified versions of contracts that can be easily adapted to different projects and the needs of creative professionals.
Before the launch of “Uzgoda” in Ukraine, there was no single standard contract for regulating labor relations between customers and representatives of creative industries. This project fills the gap by providing practical solutions to protect the rights of designers and illustrators.
