The procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense “State Rear Operator” (DOT) purchased diesel fuel marked with dyes. Contracts worth more than 2.7 billion hryvnias have been concluded, and the supply of products has already begun. About this informs press service of the Ministry of Defense.
“Diesel fuel labeling is an effective control tool that allows you to track each batch of fuel and minimize the risks of abuse. Thanks to competition among suppliers and transparent procurement procedures, we not only provided the army with a quality resource, but also optimized the use of budget funds, guaranteeing continuity of supply.” – said Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov.
During procurement, special attention was paid to checking the physical and chemical properties of dyes and their effect on fuel. The tests confirmed that the marking does not affect the quality of the products. Marking of fuel also makes it possible to accurately identify purchased fuel intended exclusively for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reducing the risk of its illegal circulation.
Financing of the purchase was provided at the expense of additional budget funds allocated in December 2024. The DOT team quickly prepared and carried out procedures through the Prozorro system, ensuring the availability of fuel reserves for the beginning of 2025 and its continuous supply to fulfill the tasks of the Armed Forces.
