“Putin actually rejected the proposal for a ceasefire”: Zelenskyy commented on the massive attack of the Russian Federation
Vladimir Putin effectively ignored the proposal for a complete ceasefire. It would only be fair if the world retaliated against any of his efforts to prolong this war. About this stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the massive attack by Russian drones on the night of March 19.
According to Zelenskyi, about 40 Russian drones have been recorded in a number of regions, against which air defense forces are working. The President noted that this is the way to “hear what Russia really needs”.
“Unfortunately, there are hits in the civilian infrastructure as well. A direct hit by a “shahed” in a hospital in Sumy, strikes on the cities of Donetsk region, strike drones are currently in the sky of Kyiv region, Zhytomyr region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region, Poltava region, Kharkiv region, Kirovohrad region, Dnipropetrovsk region and Cherkasy region.
It is precisely such night attacks by Russia that destroy our energy, our infrastructure, and the normal life of Ukrainians. And the fact that this night was no exception shows that it is necessary to continue to put pressure on Russia for the sake of peace“, the president noted.
According to him, Putin actually rejected the offer of a complete ceasefire:
“It would be right for the world to retaliate against any attempts by Putin to prolong the war,” – emphasized Zelensky.
He emphasized the need for sanctions pressure on Moscow, support for Ukraine and joint work on security guarantees.
“And only a real cessation of attacks by Russia on civilian infrastructure as evidence of the desire to end this war can bring peace closer.” — added Zelensky.
