Putin has expressed his willingness to meet with Zelensky, but refuses to recognize his legitimacy

Volodymyr Putin expressed his readiness for negotiations with Volodymyr Zelensky, while at the same time questioning the legitimacy of the current president of Ukraine regarding the signing of international agreements. This is reported by rosZMI.
During the speech, Putin emphasized that Russia allegedly does not rule out a peaceful dialogue, and he is personally “ready to meet with everyone”, including Zelensky. However, according to the Kremlin leader, the president of Ukraine, in his opinion, does not have the authority to conclude official agreements.
“We don’t care who is conducting the negotiations, I’m even ready to meet. But when the final stage is reached, the signature must be signed by a legitimate authority.” Putin said, indicating his rejection of Zelensky as a full-fledged participant in the international process.
Putin again substantiated his position with the alleged provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, according to which Zelensky’s term of office has apparently ended. Putin also stated that Ukraine is allegedly a “presidential-parliamentary republic” in which “all authorities are formed by the president”, which, in his opinion, calls into question the legitimacy of the entire Ukrainian political leadership. He added that he supposedly supports ending the war “peacefully” as soon as possible.
According to him, the Russian side maintains contacts with the Ukrainian negotiating group, and a new stage of negotiations may take place after June 22. At the same time, Putin “advised” Kyiv not to delay the negotiations because, according to him, “the situation for Kyiv may get worse.”
