In the morning of January 15, Russia carried out a large-scale shelling of the territory of Ukraine. The first explosions were heard in Kharkiv, and the air alarm spread throughout the country. About this are reported Air Force of the ZSU.
A series of explosions was recorded in Kharkiv around 06:08. At that time, the military informed about the launch of cruise missiles, as well as the use of ballistics from the territory of the Belgorod region. Missile launches continue.
A few hours before the start of the alarm and explosions, Russia took to the sky Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the “Olenya” airfield in the Murmansk region. By this time, enemy missiles had already been recorded in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions. Most of them are directed towards the western regions of Ukraine.

“According to the current procedures, the Operational Command of the Russian Armed Forces used all the available forces and means at its disposal, several pairs of fighter jets were launched into the air, and the ground means of air defense and radar reconnaissance were put on the highest alert”, – says the message of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
