On the evening of March 19, Russian troops launched an airstrike on Kupiansk, in Kharkiv Oblast. As a result of the attack, a man died, another woman was injured. About this reported Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (OVA).
According to OVA, around 8:50 p.m. the Russians used aircraft to attack the city’s civilian population.
“A 51-year-old local resident died. A 54-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries. The victim was hospitalized.” – noted in OVA.
In addition, the impact caused a fire in the garage.
“The enemy is carrying out massive airstrikes on Kupyansk. In the last few hours alone, at least 20 anti-aircraft missiles have been struck. Critical infrastructure has been damaged, fires have broken out at civilian facilities.”, – emphasized Oleg Sinegubov, head of Kharkiv OVA.
Under the procedural leadership of the Kupyan district prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of a war crime that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
“The exact type of air munition used by the Russian army to attack the city is being established. All possible and appropriate measures are being taken to document war crimes committed by Russian servicemen.” – reported in the prosecutor’s office.
