Russians disguise themselves in the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, trying to break through the defenses near Kupyansk: General Staff
On November 13, Russian troops tried to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Kupyan. Some of the Russians were dressed in the uniform of the Armed Forces, as reported at the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
It is noted that Russian assault groups attacked Ukrainian positions in four stages, using about 15 pieces of equipment, including tanks, armored vehicles and a UR-77 demining unit.
“It is especially important to note that some of the Russian soldiers were disguised in the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This violates the international laws of war and is a war crime“, the General Staff emphasized.
The Ukrainian military repelled all attacks, destroying the enemy’s armored vehicles and inflicting significant losses on the occupants’ manpower.
Andrii Besedin, the head of the Kupyan city military administration, noted that the Russians continue to throw a large amount of equipment and personnel at the positions of the Ukrainian military, trying to dislodge them from the territory in the Kupyan direction. At the moment, the Russian army is at a distance of 2.5-3 km from Kupyansk.
