Seven vocational education centers of the State Employment Service received supervisory boards

April 28 Ministry of Economy of Ukraine solidified personal composition of the supervisory boards of Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Sumy centers of vocational and technical education of the State Employment Service. The councils included representatives of local business, business associations, public organizations, authorities and the employment service.
“Within the framework of the reform of vocational education and training centers of DSZ, we offered businesses the opportunity to directly participate in the process of training specialists and to become members of the supervisory boards of the centers. Thanks to this, employers will be able to influence the training of the specialists they need now and form orders for the future.
Businesses will be able to reorient the work of the CPTO to their needs — to adjust the terms and content of training programs, to introduce training of specialists in new professions that are needed in the region, to promote the development and strengthening of the capacities of the CPTO to train in-demand personnel.” — noted the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliya Svyridenko.
Deputy Minister of Economy Tetyana Berezhna explained that business actively supported the initiative to participate in the reform of the system of training specialists in the Central Technical Training Center through the creation of supervisory boards. This is of great importance, because it is employers who best understand which specialists they need today and which will be needed in the future.
The first supervisory board was formed by the Poltava CPTO at the end of December, and today the composition of the boards for seven more centers was approved. From now on, all centers have supervisory boards, which will soon begin work on updating the personnel training system in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market and modernizing educational institutions.
“Involvement of business in the work of vocational training centers of the employment service is not just a change in the format of work, but one of the key reforms in the process of training specialists needed by the market and employers of the region. Thanks to the supervisory boards, the business will receive a real mechanism of influence on the educational process: from the adaptation of educational programs to the creation of modern production sites. Such a partnership gives graduates the opportunity to enter the labor market with relevant knowledge and skills, and enterprises – to receive qualified personnel for the development of business and the economy of Ukraine as a whole.” – emphasized the director of the State Employment Service Yuliya Zhovtyak.
The Supervisory Boards of Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, and Sumy Centers of Trade Unions included six representatives of local businesses and business associations, as well as three representatives from local authorities.
